Question,

A broken bird has no concern with flying.

you could go on without their expectant minds

you could be unchanging and let the world have it's way with you

like the who*re you keep reminding yourself you are,

you could,

you could and no-one would place blame

on a broken bird they know cant fly

Answer,

Even with broken wings I can go where few can survive

Starving and weak, clawing my throat for air yet I still find a reason to live

I will lose those dear to me, I’m sure

And quietly watch as they soar through the clouds

But even with broken wings I can run

as they fly above

I will own the road below

biding my time

my soul will reveal both known and unknown

the cause and consequence

I'm not a broken bird, I never was

piece by piece of me was freely given to those above as

tokens of love and devotion

And I could be as free too, like the others

if just one of them looked down
